New Patient Orientation and Files
Welcome to Healing Partnership, where our goal is to assist you in gaining and maintaining your health and wellbeing.
Patients come to us for a wide variety of health and personal reasons. They often come to us after months, years and often a lifetime of searching for answers from traditional medicine or other alternative doctors.
In this site, we are attempting to give you a glimpse of what we do and why we are so successful. We will explore some of the unique diagnostic methods that we use at Healing Partnership to uncover the root causes underlying your health and wellness issues. We will discuss many of our powerful treatment methods and provide you with links to numerous articles we have written on a wide variety of subjects.
We hope that you will take the time to explore this site and to dive deeper into the articles that pertain to your specific health issues or simply interest you.
For the most part, patients come to us for the treatment of Pain. Pain comes in many varieties and forms. In this section, we cover the structural causes of pain.
Structural related pain occurs in the neck, back and extremities (shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands, hips, knees, ankles and feet). Pain may also be focused in the jaw (TMJ) or head. We cover structural pain and its treatment in the following articles:
We also treat Structural issues using Traditional Chinese Medicine. Things can get very interesting as we explore the underlying causes of pain. For example, neck pain can have many potential causative factors including imbalances in the Immune System, Nervous System, Thyroid, Blood Sugar, Adrenals, Liver and Hormones. This is where Chinese Medicine shines. It gives us the tools to uncover and treat these underlying issues. Read about these ancient healing methods in the following articles:
Perhaps you have seen the full page ads for treatment of back pain with laser therapy. It really works. We use our powerful laser to complement and enhance the healing power of acupuncture, herbs and structural work. It also speeds healing post surgically and is effective with pain in any area of the body.

Pain and dis-ease can have a non-structural basis. These type of conditions include: digestive disorders, respiratory conditions (ranging from colds and flu to allergies, sinus issues and more serious respiratory problems), autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular issues (including high blood pressure and heart disease), metabolic disorders (including blood sugar issues and elevated cholesterol and triglycerides), hormonal imbalances, urinary tract issues and headaches.
Here, things can get much more complicated. Headaches, for example, can have multiple causes including cervical (neck) conditions, sinus issues, cranial misalignments and TMJ, hormonal imbalances, toxicity and food allergies, to name only a few.
This is where our diagnostic skills come into play. In western medicine, doctors often give a drug to manage a symptom. We are looking for the underlying cause(s) of illness and take into account the numerous systems that may overlap to produce your problems.
In addition to the above mentioned articles on Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, you can read more about functional disorders and how we address them in the article:
We offer a series of interesting articles on various functional disorders:
Ideally our bodies detoxify themselves effectively. Unfortunately in today’s world, we are overloaded with environmental toxins and chemicals that did not exist 50 years ago.
We utilize herbs, homeopathics, acupuncture, far infrared therapy and manual lymph drainage to help the body detoxify. Some of these methods are discussed in the following articles:
Mental, Emotional and Spiritual Health
Physical issues always have an emotional or energetic component, just as unresolved emotional issues result in physical health issues. The body, mind and spirit are inextricably connected and affect each other. The parts of the brain that signal physical pain are the same as those that are activated when we have emotional pain.
We find the greatest success with patients when they are willing to look at more than just the physical body. It is well known that stress affects health. We must overcome the stigma around seeking help for emotional pain, stress and depression. There is an epidemic of depression and anxiety in young adults, they need education and support to find their way forward.
Each person is as unique in their mental, emotional and spiritual makeup as they are physically. Just as with physical symptoms we need to partner in exploring what is beneath the surface. You may feel unseen and unheard, as if no one really knows who you are. Do you feel separate and alone even when you are with people? Do you feel there is something missing in your life? There is nothing wrong with you. Everyone needs to feel connected, to be recognized for who they are, to know they belong to and contribute to something greater.
It is possible to experience a connection with others that is healthy and nourishing to your soul. It begins with having a nourishing connection with yourself. We are not taught how to do this. There are a wealth of methods that work. Together we can find the internal strength and purpose that will open the path to a connected and joy filled life.
