Advanced Integrative Therapy
Advanced Integrative Therapy or (AIT) is a transpersonal, body-centered psychotherapy that treats trauma and its many psychological, physical, intellectual, and spiritual aftereffects by reestablishing the natural movement of energy through the major energy centers of the body.
Advanced Integrative Therapy provides lasting relief from a wide range of intractable psychological disorders, physical diseases, allergenic symptoms and spiritual impasses. Starting from the premise that all upsetting events are types of trauma which are housed within the body, mind and spirit. AIT quickly removes the aftereffects of such traumatic events. It clears the traumatic residue such as disturbing emotions, negative beliefs and attitudes, destructive desires and fantasies, addictions, compulsions, obsessions, spiritual blockages and disease.
Our childhood is peppered with events that can have long-lasting effects. There are events that everyone recognizes as traumatic such as sexual or physical abuse or losing a parent early in life. However, there are also events that are traumatic to a child that would not be labeled as such by most adults. These include common events that we have witnessed such as an argument between our parents or simple personal events. Trauma occurs when there is a percieved threat to life in the face of helplessness. The trauma I treat most often is birth trauma. When a newborn infant is taken away from it's mother, it's source of life, it is helpless and at the mercy of circumstances beyond it's comprehension and control.
Trauma, and particularly traumatic patterns, often produce destructive beliefs, desires, compulsions, and addictions. It is important to treat both the recent traumas that often bring people into therapy, and the original earlier trauma that underlies the present trauma. This is because the core traumas and traumatic patterns are the ones which have most deeply shaped, and sometimes distorted, our lives. These traumatic patterns may be about feeling unloved, unappreciated, abandoned, betrayed, used, unseen, and so on.
When people have a physical illness that does not resolve itself in a reasonable amount of time, there is most likely an emotional wound that underlies or mirrors the physical one. When we are emotionally wounded, the event is often stored physically. Interestingly, it is often people who are kind and "emotionally balanced" that suffer from this the most. People that can rage immediately and release the energy of an offending event may not be burdened with storing it in their bodies. Releasing the original trauma is often necessary before physical healing of chronic illness can take place.
Core traumatic patterns breed destructive core beliefs, such as "I am unlovable," "I can't depend on anyone," and "People will use me." These beliefs often are found in the unconscious mind. We may not be aware of them, but these thoughts and feelings can shape and control our view of ourselves, others, and the world around us.. Any significant trauma can spawn many interconnected negative core beliefs, or a "matrix". If we are to rid ourselves from a life of unhappiness or unfulfilled potential, we must transform destructive or negative core beliefs into constructive, positive ones.
Transforming negative core beliefs is an issue that traditional psychotherapy has found to be difficult to accomplish. Clients may gain insight into their belief system, but don't necessarily form a new one, at least in the depth of their being. They may know their problem intellectually, but still not be able to change their feelings about it. AIT offers a means of doing just that. Through Advanced Integrative Therapy, not only can we change negative beliefs into positive ones, but also negative desires, addictions, etc., can be changed into positive desires. Positive qualities, such as compassion, caring, empathy, inspiration, etc., may also be instilled, resulting in our being reunited with all aspects of our being.
Advanced Integrative Therapy can give rise to consciousness, healing, transformation, and development through the lasting remission from challenging psychological disorders, psychogenic physical conditions, and spiritual blockages by utilizing the movement of energy through the major energy centers of the body to remove the negative aftereffects of trauma. In addition, Advanced Integrative Therapy can instill a positive outlook and nourish spiritual development in a deeply moving way.
