The Secrets of Correcting Neck Back and Joint Pain

Health practitioners have long sought more effective and less forceful therapeutic methods to correct musculo-skeletal imbalances in the body. Vector Point is unique and dramatically effective system developed by Dr. David Denton, D.C. He discovered that when a vertebra moves into a stressed position, a specific area of the cranium goes into tension. A painful nodule can be predictably located along one of the cranial joints known as sutures.
There is a (relatively) simple explanation for this. Inside the cranium, protecting the brain is a tough connective tissue known as the Dura Mater (or dura for short). The dura extends along the spine (enveloping the entire brain and spinal chord) connecting to every vertebra until finally ending at the tail bone. This allows for a rhythmic pulsation (occurring approximately 12 times per minute) that pumps cerebral spinal fluid up and down the spine.
When a part of the spine becomes torqued, there is an accompanying tension in the dura. This produces cranial distortions and interferes with the proper flow of the cerebral spinal fluid and threatens normal function of the Central Nervous System.
When this occurs, other vertebra compensate by going into a counter-torque, to try and relieve the tension. The ability to compensate for stress is essential to life; however it often serves to lock-in the stress pattern making it even more difficult for the body to successfully correct itself. Over time, the muscles compensate to protect the body and the pattern becomes chronic. The result is chronic and recurring pain.
A vertebra does not go out of position by itself. Another vertebra will always compensate and go out of alignment in conjunction with it. The traditional method of “adjusting” a vertebra doesn’t take this into consideration. A forceful release is not always beneficial. And at times, is clearly detrimental.
Vector Point handles this situation quite differently. Very precise cranial corrections release the dural torque and allow the affected vertebra and joints to return to their normal, unstressed positions.
